The Setting; Laserblade Rink 

Steel skyscrapers loom over OLD BASEBALL STADIUM. Seedy neighborhood, NEON SIGNS FLASH. Unused. A GHOST OF THE PAST. LIGHTNING FLASHES above a GARISH NEON SIGN, "LASERBLADE RINK". Playing field, converted to an inline skating rink. New green roof. THROBS WITH BASS BOOMING SOUND.

Inside Laserblade Rink

LOUD MUSIC, HARD ROCK, LOTS OF LIGHT cutting through THEATER DARK. Benches surround the RAILING around the rink. SHIMMERING PURPLE AND SILVER NEON LIGHT is everywhere. Kids hang out, watch, point and cheer on the SKATERS. Within the rink, Skaters whiz by on inline skates. The faster they go THE BRIGHTER THE SKATES FLASHING YELLOW RIMS become.

Laserblades

The Game

EACH SKATER WEARS A VEST THAT KEEPS SCORE and has a MOCK RIFLE. GOAL IS HIGH SCORE. Skaters are IMMERSED in a surreal COMPUTER GENERATED FOREST. HOLOGRAPHIC PREY. VINES, BEASTS AND BIRDS pop in and out. Skaters fire. Surprise HOLOGRAPHIC RED ORBS give the MOST POINTS. When red orbs POP OUT they FIRE a HOLOGRAPHIC SPRAY AT THE SKATERS. If Skaters are hit, a BELL CLANGS--Skaters leaves rink, wait a full round before they can enter the rink again. If skaters hit Red Orbs, ORBS EXPLODE--bonus points for the skater.

The Nexus

LILY LEBLANC

Blonde, a curvy beauty, her white cane is her watch dog-- if she could see how pretty she is she might be vain. To Nightmare, she's just the right mix of good worth corrupting and bad worth mining, so she can be the Nexus between Realworld and Nightmare. She's kidnapped and taken into the Nightmare Dimension.

A kind of Geek on parade, insanely book smart, tall and could be cute with the right haircut and different eyeglasses. Within him is a strong will, a brave heart, if he can only find the courage to learn from risks worth taking. He's always loved Lily. When she's kidnapped, he must "man up" and find a way to rescue her.

ROXY McNALLY

Pretty, bright, this group's moral compass. She has leukemia and passionately seeks a cure. She loves...

JESSE JONES

So tall he'd be crazy not to play basketball, ghetto hip, middle class cool. He wants to be a star but secretly hates his less than solid grades, is way skeptical of all of this "Nightmare stuff"... Wants to take part in fights he thinks he can win, but puts his caution aside to help his best friend, Eric.

Jesse's sassy little brother, baggy jeans, chubby. He's a computer geek, wants to get out from under his brother's tall shadow...
